DGL Golf ("the App") is a private golf league management app built for the Degentlemens Golf League (DGL) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This policy explains how we handle your information.
The App collects and stores the following information in our cloud database (Supabase):
Player Information: Player names as entered by league members, weekly golf scores (hole-by-hole, front 9, back 9, total, birdies, pars, triple bogeys), and historical scores from previous seasons.
Device Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device's push notification token to send you alerts when other league members check in for upcoming rounds.
Check-In Data: When you indicate you're playing in an upcoming week, we store your name, the week number, and season year.
Weather Data: The App fetches current weather conditions for Winnipeg from the Open-Meteo API. No personal data is sent in these requests.
All data collected is used solely to operate the DGL golf league, including displaying standings, calculating handicaps, generating tournament brackets, building scramble teams, and notifying members about upcoming rounds. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for any purpose beyond operating the App.
Data is stored securely on Supabase servers located in Canada (ca-central-1). Access is limited to league members through the App.
Push notifications are optional. If enabled, you will receive alerts when other league members check in for upcoming rounds. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings app. When you disable notifications, your device token is removed from our database.
Golf scores and league data are retained indefinitely as part of the league's historical records. You may request removal of your data by contacting the league administrator.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" above.
